Bio Sketch
Kanchan
Chatterjee is a 46 year old executive, working in the Ministry of
Finance, Government of India. He loves to write as and when he feels the
urge, though he does not have a literary background. Some of his poems
and haiku have been published in Mad Swirl, A Hundred Gourds, Under the Basho, Decanto, and Bare Hands Poetry. He was nominated for the Pushcart Award in 2012.
The thematic and tonal shift at the end of the poem is humorously effective, and L3 could be read as a disguised authorial comment on the monotonous droning sound of the chants.
ReplyDeleteA well-crafted haiku with an aesthetic focus on the "hai" (comic).
I love it. Pairing of two examples of perfect love.
ReplyDeleteHere is my dog haiku
