Bio Sketch
Irena Szewczyk lives in Warsaw Poland. She started to write haiku and
make photo haiga in 2011. She publishes her works in English, French,
Polish and Hungarian on her blog, Iris Haiku. Her haiku and haiga have been published in The Mainichi, The Asahi Shimbun, Daily Haiga, Haigaonline, Haiku Novine, Notes from the Gean, Sketchbook, Polish Haiku Anthology Blue Grasses, and WHA Haiga Contest, and she won a Honorable Mention in the HIA Haiku Contest.
L1 establishes the theme of the poem while Ls 2&3 work well on at least two levels, literal and metaphoric.
