Bio Sketch

Meik Blöttenberger has been writing haiku for over twelve years and his haiku have appeared in Frogpond, Modern Haiku, and The Heron's Nest. His other passions are photography and growing bonsai.

  1. This minimalist haiku is tightly structured with an emotional undercurrent, and a sigh of relief or even a sense of pleasure could be felt by the narrator.

    It reminds me one of my haiku, which I think could be read as a prequel to Meik's poem:

    writing haiku ...
    my wine glass fills
    with sunlight
