Bio Sketch
Rachel Sutcliffe has suffered from a serious immune disorder for over 15 years, throughout this time writing has been her therapy, it’s kept her from going insane. She is an active member of the British Haiku Society and has been published in various journals including Prune Juice, A Hundred Gourds, Frogpond and The Heron’s Nest.
Rachel's haiku is tightly structured with an emotional undercurrent, and its tone and mood is effectively conveyed through the visually resonant juxtaposition of "failing light" and the "frayed hem of a nightgown."
