we cross paths with our
dead loved ones
almost missing the melody
of their unspoken words

Patricia’s interview conducted by editor, Mark Pirie is due to appear in the Mongolian publication World Poetry Almanac and can be read on the New Zealand Poetry Archive.
Thematically and structurally speaking, L3, foregrounds the theme of an unbreakable bond between the living and the dead, and L5 successfully adds emotional weight and psychological depth to the poem.
