Bio Sketch
Rachel
Sutcliffe has suffered from a serious immune disorder for over 15
years, throughout this time writing has been her therapy, it’s kept her
from going insane. She is an active member of the British Haiku Society
and has been published in various journals including Prune Juice, A Hundred Gourds, Frogpond and The Heron’s Nest.
The resonant juxtaposition of these symbolically rich phrases(unfolding "darkness" and the "chill" of the pillow)opens up an emotional space for the reader's reflection on the relationship with his/her loved one.
