Bio Sketch

Rachel Sutcliffe has suffered from a serious immune disorder for over 15 years, throughout this time writing has been her therapy, it’s kept her from going insane. She is an active member of the British Haiku Society and has been published in various journals including Prune Juice, A Hundred Gourds, Frogpond and The Heron’s Nest.

  1. Rachel's haiku effectively builds, line by line, to a poignant ending that conveys a sense of anger and sadness. And the word, "dregs," works effectively on at least two levels, symbolic and emotional.
