Bio Sketch

Joanne Morcom is a social worker and poet who lives in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, with four poetry collections to her credit.  Her work also appears in poetry anthologies and journals.

  1. Joanne's use of enjambment is thematically and emotionally effective, putting a special emphasis on "black and white world," which has the most weight.

    This heartfelt and relatable tanka reminds me of the following "black and white world" tanka written from different angles:
