Tom
Drescher has an academic background in English literature but over the
years has worked in a number of fields. He is now retired to the family
home in the Kootenay region of British Columbia.
L1 sets the scene and mood while although read like an authorial comments, "pure" pitch in L2 makes an effective emotional turn, capturing a moment of calmness in this winter haiku.
