Bio Sketch

Anna Maria Domburg-Sancristoforo was born in Genoa, Italy, and she now lives in the Netherlands. She worked as a university teacher and translator at Leiden University. She writes haiku in both Italian and English. Her haiku, tanka  and senryu are published in international magazines, blogs and e-journals.

  1. L1 sets the seasonal context and mood while the use of repetition is thematically effective and emotionally poignant, and on second reading, L1 successfully carries symbolic significance,indicative of a failing relationship.
