  1. The juxtaposition of symbolically/religiously rich "half moon" and the Jungian conception of "shadow self" is visually evocative and thematically effective, and "once again" enhances the emotional aspect of this thought-provoking haiku.

    FYI:In Buddhism, the moon is an enduring symbol of truth and enlightenment, and Carl Jung wrote a forward to "to An Introduction to Zen Buddhism," one of foundational texts on Buddhism in the West, by Dr. T.D. Suzuki.
