Ls 1&2 depict an unusual and unpleasant scene while the modifier, "long," in L3 enhances the tone and mood of this beach haiku littered with the shells of sea-snails (venomous and capable of "stinging" humans).
ReplyDeleteOn a second reading, littered sea-snail shells, when evaluated in the thematic context of ocean pollution, effectively carry symbolic significance.
