Bio Sketch

Veronika Zora Novak resides in Toronto, Canada.  She studied Medical Office Administration at George Brown College and graduated with honours in 1999.  She has been writing haiku and tanka since 2012 and has been published in acclaimed journals such as Under the BashõChrysathemum, Failed Haiku, HedgerowPrune Juice, Bleached Butterfly and many others.

  1. The multi-sensory and symbocally rich jux. of "winter twilight" and the "smell of hospitals" is poignantly effective. And what's left unsaid is at least as potent as what's stated in this "illness haiku."

    home from hospital ...
    a robin's song
    and nothing else
