Bio sketch

Asni Amin lives in Singapore and works as a librarian in a school.  She started writing tanka in 2012.  Some of her tanka has been published in Best of 5 Line Poems 2012 in January 2013.

  1. "Autumn TWIlight," is a great opening line for setting the context, scenic, thematic, and emotive, for the poem.

    And most importantly, read in the thematic context of the rhetorical question raised in the lower verse, "autumn twilight," functions effectively as a seasonal metaphor for the life stages of individual development.

    In the twilight of one's life, "is it too late/ to dream another dream? "

    Asni's beautifully-crafted tanka challenges the reader to ponder the meaning of Life.
