Bio Sketch
Sheila
Bello writes haiku, tanka, lyric poetry, creative nonfiction and short
fiction. She lives in Scarborough, Ontario. Sheila was born in Trinidad
and migrated to Canada in 1972. She is inspired by nature and is an avid
gardener.
Combined with the use of syntactic parallelism, there is an implied simile effectively established between the two parts ("'tangled mass'/of 'roots' 'underground'" and "'clutter'/of 'emotions' 'suppressed'")of the tanka.
