Marilyn
Appl Walker is a retired teacher. Since 2002, she has received
international recognition with awards and publication in Canada,
Croatia, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States. She lives in
the small tourist town of Madison, Georgia, USA.
L1 sets the thematic context while the playful phrase, "take turns moving," in L2 effectively conveys these joyful, intimate moments we all crave for in the dog day afternoon.
ReplyDeleteMarilyn's visually and emotionally evocative haiku reminds me of one of my playful "garden hose" poem:
our laughter flows
from one street block
to another ...
mother's garden hose
spouting a rainbow
