Bio Sketch

Munira Judith Avinger was born in the US and moved to the Eastern Townships of Quebec in 1993 where she built a little cabin in the forest. She has published five books, the latest of which is a memoir called The Cabin.

  1. Ls 1&2 indicate modern technology's impact on the relationship between man and nature while L3 could be read as a reminder call from nature.

    This haiku reminds me of the following recent news(June 23, 2014):

    The National Park Service has announced it is banning the use of drones (also known as UAVs, or unmanned aircraft aerial vehicles) in all national parks. Agency director Jonathan Jarvis said in a statement Friday the decision arose from “serious concerns about the negative impact that flying unmanned aircraft is having in parks.”
