Bio Sketch
Ken
Sawitri was born in Blora, Central Java, Indonesia, and completed her
degree in psychology at the University of Indonesia. She was the
Psychology & Education editor of Ayahbunda (1995-1998). She had the first publication in Indonesian national media when she was in junior high school.
The contrasts between the two parts of the poem are effective.
ReplyDeleteKen's good verb choice, "weigh" provides a "scent link " (understood in Basho's sense of the phrase) that connects L1 and Ls 2&3, and it adds emotional weight (pun intended) to the poem .
