Cynthia Rowe is President: Australian Haiku Society; Editor: Haiku Xpressions;
Past President: Eastern Suburbs Branch FAW NSW. A University of
Melbourne graduate in French and Philosophy, she was awarded a Diplôme
Approfondi de Langue Française by the French Ministry of Education. She
has published seven novels, plus poetry collections Driftwood and Floating Nest.
Through well-chosen phrases and heartwarming imagery, Cynthia's haiku effectively reiterates one of the main themes -- friendship -- explored in Japanese haiku about cherry trees/blossoms, and it reminds me of one of Issa's haiku:
