Bio Sketch

  1. Shloka effective juxtaposition of tonally evocative phrases, "sultry afternoon" and a "maze/of longings," succeeds in creating an emotionally resonant climax -- "fifty shades of blue," whose cultural currency adds psychological depth to the poem.

    This sensually evocative tanka reminds me of some of iconic scenes from "Fifty Shades of Blue" (adapted from the novel of the same title)
