my pile of journals
crammed with thoughts

a snow-laden branch
about to crack

  1. The juxtaposition of "journals/ crammed thoughts to Jesus" and "a snow-laden branch/about to crack" is visually and emotionally poignant, and the closing image displays helpless frailty that is infused with emotional weight and religious significance, which reminds me of one of Jesus's last words;

    My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? ..
