Bio Sketch
Anna Maria Domburg-Sancristoforo is of Italian descent and lives in the Netherlands. She is a retired university teacher, and she writes haiku in both Italian and English and poetry in Italian. She's been sending some of her haiku for publication since last winter.
The opening line sets the seasonal scene while combined with the symbolically rich middle line, the surprising closing line makes this haiku emotionally effective.
