Barbara
Tate is an award winning artist & writer. She is a member of the
Haiku Society of America and the British Haiku Society. Her work has
appeared in Modern Haiku, Frogpond, Santa Fe Literary Review, Presence, Hedgerow, The Heron's Nest and NeverEnding Story, among others. She currently lives in Winchester, TN.
A sense of melancholy is effectively conveyed through the poignantly resonant juxtaposition of fallen leaves and a silent bird.
