Bio Sketch

After retiring from practicing law, S. M. Kozubek spends more time now writing poems. In addition to his tanka previously published in NeverEnding Story, his haiku and tanka have also appeared in Frogpond, A Hundred Gourds, Prune Juice, Modern Haiku, bottle rockets, Skylark, is/let, Red Moon Anthology, hedgerow, and other publications.

  1. Enhanced by the use of the cinematic zoom-in technique, S. M. Kozubek's middle-of-the-story tanka effectively builds, poetic phrase/line by poetic phrase/line, to a thematically significant and visually and emotionally poignant ending that reveals the theme of eviction.
