Jo Balistreri enjoys the process of writing and carries her notebook everywhere. Zoom too has been a wonderful way to communicate with other poets. She was honored in A New Resonance 12, 2021. She also received an honorable mention in the Gene Murtha Memorial Contest, 2021.
Unexpected yet visually evocative L3 makes this shasei haiku about tropical wetland trees along the shortline in the late afternoon sunlight, which is soft and warm, emotionally effective.
