Bio Sketch

George Dorsty was an esteemed English teacher and a published poet, preferring the sensibility and deceptive complexity of Japanese Haiku. He published four works of his own, the last being the collection, the birds sing anyway, in 2019.

Ls 1&2 depict a mountain scene while deceptively simple L3 allows readers an effortless entrance to this scene through its concrete visual details and then the room to move about freely, or to "just be in a meditative state of mind/silence" (when evaluated in the religious context of the monastery in L2)
