Bio Sketch
Marion Clarke is from the east coast of Northern Ireland. Growing up surrounded by the scenic shores of Carlingford Lough, the Mourne Mountains and Kilbroney Forest Park, she was destined to write haiku.
The twist in L3 adds a psychological bent to this homecoming haiku, deepening the reader's experience and making him/her wonder what happened outside Ireland, L1. One of the possible reasons for Ls 2&3 is that the speaker suffered terribly from mosquito bites while travelling/working abroad.
