One Man's Maple Moon: Moment Tanka by Thelma Mariano

English Original

the stillness of snow
broken by the whooshing
of speeding cars
a moment so complete
yet empty without you

Thelma Mariano

1 comment:

  1. The tanka flows well and creates a sense of tension between the quiet of snow, L1 and the intrusion of modern, human noise., Ls 2&3.

The emotional depth is enhanced with L5 providing a poignant twist that brings the tanka together.
