Don Miller grew up on a farm in Indiana; however, has spent the last 25+ years in New Mexico. He has had tanka, haiku and haibun published in numerous print journals and on-line e-zines.
L1 successfully sets the scenic/thematic context while the change of the subject in the skipping stone metaphor employed in Ls 2&3 adds emotional weight and aesthetic depth to the poem.
