to nowhere

Bio Sketch
Steliana
Cristina Voicu lives in Ploieşti, Romania and loves painting, poetry,
photography and astronomy. She has a bachelor’s degree in Cybernetics,
Statistics and Economic Informatics and a master's diploma in Business
Support Databases. Her haiku, haiga and tanka have been published in
various magazines and anthologies.
Steliana's tanka is tightly structured with an emotional undercurrent. Its tone and mood is effectively conveyed through evocative imagery ("bloomed" apple tree ...A star "slips on the edge" of a petal to "nowhere"), and the concluding word adds psychological depth to the poem.
