  1. L1 establishes the seasonal and tonal context while combined with the symbolically rich image of a singing robin, a shift in mood in Ls 2&3 lifts the poem up a notch.

    Note: Robins, especially the male ones, sing beautifully on summer nights. They signify stimulation of new growth and renewal in many areas of life.
