Bio Sketch

Thomas Martin was raised on a farm in the Piedmont of North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina with a major in English Literature.  He lives in the Pacific Northwest of the USA and has written poetry since his teens.

  1. The visual contrasts between the celestial event/streams of cosmic debris (L1) and the geothermal phenomenon/"wisps of steam ... from hot springs" (Ls 2&3) lift the poem out of the ordinary.

    A moment is keenly captured in this nature haiku.
