Bio Sketch

Patrick Doerksen is a social worker armed with a B.A. in Literature and a M.A. in Theology. He and his wife live in Victoria, British Columbia, where flowers bloom as early as January and it is very difficult to be unhappy. He has haiku featured in Modern Haiku, Bones, Under the Basho, Presence, and Haiku Journal.

  1. his nature haiku is tightly structured with an emotional undercurrent, and on a second reading, its Ls 2&3 effectively carry metaphorical significance.
