Elizabeth Crocket writes haiku, senryu, tanka, haibun and photo-haiga. She has two chapbooks published by Red Moon Press. Her first women's fiction novel will be published in 2018. Samples of Elizabeth's writing can be found on her website.
Modeled on traditional Japanese tanka, this heartfelt poem is made up of five poetic phrases (ku) and structured into two parts (“jo,” the prefatory image, and the main statement). And the prefatory image resonates closely with the emotional point of the main statement.
