Bio Sketch
Nika is the pen name of retired educator Dr. Jim Force. He currently writes with The Heron’s Quill in Victoria where he is a member of Haiku Arbutus. His haiku have been widely published in journals and anthologies. He is particularly interested in creating collaborative haiga and linked verse.
The opening line establishes the thematic and seasonal context while the unexpected yet poignant last line makes this homeless man haiku emotionally effective.
