Bio Sketch
A A Marcoff is an Anglo-Russian poet, born in Iran, who has lived in Africa, Iran, France and Japan. He is a much-published mainstream poet as well as a writer of tanka. He lives near the beautiful River Mole in Surrey, England.
Tony's tanka effectively builds, line by line, to an unexpected yet thematically significant and emotionally powerful ending that elevates the tanka to a philosophical/existential level. And what's left unsaid opens up a contemplative space for the reader's reflection.
