Jacquie
Pearce lives in Vancouver, BC. Her haiku and tanka have appeared in a
variety of print and online publications, including Frogpond, Daily Haiku, and Skylark. Jacquie is also the author of several novels for children (more info at www. jacquelinepearce.ca).
Juxtaposed with "sunlit pew" and "childhood faith," Jacquie's haiku is tightly structured with an undercurrent of nostalgia for something innocent/pure and yet lost. And L2, "rest for a moment" effectively adds psychological depth to the haiku.

Thanks, Chen-ou! I like the way the two haiku work together, focusing on the presence of light (rather than people) moving through the churches (and perhaps moving through memories).
