Bio Sketch
Réka Nyitrai lives in Bucharest, Romania. She was born in Transylvania, a land that she truly considers magic. She studied communication and political marketing. She always felt attracted to poetry, especially to short forms. In early spring 2018, she started writing haiku. Now, she writes haiku and cherita. She has been published in on-line haiku and short poetry journals like Under the Basho, Failed Haiku, FemkuMag, Scryptic Magazin and The Asahi Shimbun.
L1 sets the theme and mood while the auditory image of Ls 2&3, "the hollow thud of an apple (a type of fruit infused with symbolically and religiously rich meanings)," not only enhances the sensory aspect of the haiku but also works well as an implicit comment on L1/or an implied simile.
