Bio Sketch

After retiring from practicing law, S. M. Kozubek spends more time now writing poems. In addition to his tanka previously published in NeverEnding Story, his haiku and tanka have also appeared in Frogpond, A Hundred Gourds, Prune Juice, Modern Haiku, bottle rockets, Skylark, is/let, Red Moon Anthology, hedgerow, and other publications.

  1. Evaluated in the thematic context of summer vacation/trip, the juxtaposition of a "short stay" and [weighty]"expectations" (manifested in the form of [heavy]"suitcases") is humorously effective.
