Bio Sketch

Ed Bremson is an award-winning haiku poet, published recently in the journals Prune Juice, Haigaonline, and Frogpond, as well as in the Japanese newspapers Asahi Shimbun and Mainichi Daily. In 2017-2018 he was three times Haiku Master of the Week, NHK World, Japanese TV. Ed lives in Raleigh, NC, USA.

  1. The jux. of pregnant women and symbolically rich budding magnolias is visually evocative and emotionally resonant.

    It's believed "pregnancy is a beautiful phase because it gives a woman the joy and fulfilment which comes from bringing a new life into the world." And magnolia, which it is believed to have existed from the beginning of time, symbolizes "love for nature, feminine sweetness and beauty."
