Bio Sketch
Isabella Mori has written two books with and about poetry, including A bagful of haiku – 87 imperfections. Isabella’s poetry, short stories and nonfiction have been published in places such as the anthology, The Group Of Seven Reimagined. Isabella founded “Muriel’s Journey Poetry Prize,” which celebrates loud, edgy, socially engaged poetry.
L1 sets the theme and mood while the surprise ("three blocks" away) of L3 makes this second wave covid19 haiku poignantly effective. And its theme and imagery reminds me of one of my poems written on Mother's Day in the first wave of covid19:

in the mid-May air
