Bio Sketch

Veronika Zora Novak resides in Toronto, Canada.  She studied Medical Office Administration at George Brown College and graduated with honours in 1999.  She has been writing haiku and tanka since 2012 and has been published in acclaimed journals such as Under the BashõChrysathemum, Failed Haiku, HedgerowPrune Juice, Bleached Butterfly and many others.

  1. L1 sets the theme while unexpected yet visually and emotionally poignant L3 enhances the tone and mood of this heart-wrenching haiku. And symbolical significance of cherry blossoms in L2 adds extra emotional weight to the haiku.
