Bio Sketch

  1. LeRoy's tanka effectively builds, poetic phrase (ku)/line by poetic phrase (ku)/line, to an unexpected yet thematically significant and visually and emotionally poignant ending that reveals the theme of the most-feared man-made disaster, "nuclear winter."

    And it might be interesting to do a thematic comparative reading of LeRoy's another tanka:

    FYI: Nuclear winter is a severe and prolonged global climatic cooling effect that is hypothesized to occur after widespread firestorms following a large-scale nuclear war.
