Bio Sketch
Nikolay Grankin was born on September 27, 1964, in Tuapse, Russia. Now he lives in Krasnodar in the south of Russia. He has a wife, two children, a grandson, and works as an electrician in the power plant. Nikolay is keen on haiku poetry and learning English. He has been writing haiku for about thirteen years, six of them in English. His haiku have appeared in some online and print journals in both Russian and English. Nikolay was among the winners and honorable mentions in several haiku contests.
Sociopolitically sensitive L1 sets the scene while unexpected yet visually evocative and symbolically rich L3 offers a glimpse of hope and peace in the rise of nationalism.
