Bio Sketch
Carole Harrison combines her love of art and nature with long distance walking and short form poetry. Her work has been published in Australian and International journals and anthologies. She lives on the South Coast of NSW, Australia, surrounded by remnant rainforest, cows and lots of colourful birdlife.
Is it possible to cling to the shape of one's oneself (as suggested from Ls 3-5) in a constantly changing environment as implied from "rock pool" in L1 and "wind-blown" clouds in L2?

This visuaully and emotionally evocative and metaphorically rich tanka sparks the reader's emotions about and reflection on how to live, and maybe most importantly thrive, in a changing world.
