  1. Little is said but much is implied about the husband's personality. A Jamesian moment keenly captured.

In his essay, "In a Sea of Indeterminancy: Fourteen Ways of Looking at Haiku," Peter Harris, gives Roberta's book, The Unworn Necklace, a one-page long positive review, stressing that "Beary's poems deserve the unusual recognition they received outside the haiku community." (A Companion to Poetic Genre, a collection of essays that examines genres and forms, pp. 283-4)

I couldn't agree with him more.
