Bio Sketch
Ken
Sawitri was born in Blora, Central Java, Indonesia, and completed her
degree in psychology at the University of Indonesia. She was the
Psychology & Education editor of Ayahbunda (1995-1998). She had the first publication in Indonesian national mass media when she was in junior high school.
L 1 not only sets the scene for the poem but also gives readers the garden owner's bio sketch while Ls 2&3 work well on two levels, literal and metaphoric, which could be read as a subtle form of authorial commentary.
