Bio Sketch

Carl Seguiban resides in British Columbia which inspires his haiku. His poems have been published in Mayfly, Modern Haiku, Frogpond, Bottle Rockets, A Hundred Gourds, Moongarlic, Presence, Under the Basho, paper wasp, The Heron's Nest, Cattails, Prune Juice among others.

(Editor's Note: This is the last haiku accepted in 2014 for consideration for inclusion in Butterfly Dream, Volume II. The next "Butterfly Dream" post will be the haiku accepted in 2015. Sorry for the delay in posting haiku for 2015. It's mainly because  a lot of poets submitted their haiku just shortly before or by the 2014 deadline)

  1. L1 establishes the theme for the poem while Ls 2&3 greatly enhance its pathos through an innovative and fresh verb phrase, "haul[ing] echoes (not water)/ from the well."
