short stories. As a mother she also writes fairy tales for her son. She
is interested in Japanese culture and poetry, especially haiku and
related forms.
The implied contrast of colors (of Autumn and of spices) is visually effective, and on the second reading, L1 works emotionally effectively not only on the literal level ("a period of unusually dry, warm weather occurring in late autumn") but also on the metaphoric level ("a period of happiness or success occurring late in life").
