Hot News: Chen-ou Liu, Featured Poet on Coviews (北美枫)

My Dear Friends:

With great pleasure I would like to share with you a piece of good news: My bilingual haiku and tanka were featured on the prominent literary website Coviews (北美枫), edited by Chinese Canadian poet Anna Yin  Mississauga’s Inaugural Poet Laureate and the co-host of the 2017 Haiku Canada Conference.

Aegean shore ...

soaked teddy bear

and dead child

愛琴海岸...

濕透的玩具熊

和斷了氣的小孩

a bull's horns

sharpened by the winter wind

high school dropout

公牛的角

被冬風磨尖

高中輟學生

home alone

listening

to snowlight

獨自在家

傾聽大雪

反射之光

one day

after the eviction

a whitewashed room

and four nail holes

in the wall, in my heart

驅逐搬遷後

的一天

粉刷乾淨的房間

和四個釘孔

在牆上，在我心裡

go back

to where you came from ...

a yellow leaf

tossing and turning

with each gust of wind

你從哪裡來

就滾回哪裡去 ...

一片黃色葉子

在每一陣風吹來吹去中

不停地翻轉和滾動

My tanka below won a honorable mention in the 2016 San Francisco International Competition for Haiku, Senryu, Tanka and Rengay. This is my 97th award.
